The following Chinese residents forwarded contributions amounting to £9; 9s:—Wee On and Coy £3 3s, Jim Choy £2 2s, Sing Lee £1 Is, Sang Lee £2T 2s, Joe Lee £1 Is, Sam Lee £1 Is. Members spoke cwdially of the Chinese liberality, and on the motion .of Messrs Marx and Wells the secre- tary was instructed to thank the contributors, stating that the moneys were much appreciated by the Board.
