Lai Kee Sue Patea

At the Magistrate's Court on Thursday Kee Sue and Chan Fan were fined £1 and costs for keeping their shops open after the statutory hour of closing. ELTHAM.

MAGISTRATE'S COURT. WEEKLY SITTING

The weekly sitting of the Hawera Magistrate's Court- was held to-day, Mr. J. S. Barton, S.M., presiding. Jack Wee On and Kee Sue were charged, on the information of the borough inspector, with failing to keep rubbish in a special receptacle. The borough inspector stated that the back premises of the Chinamen were littered with rubbish, thereby constituting a menace to health. Several warnings had been issued.
