A peculiar accident happened to a cab full of Chinamen -attending a funeral a few days ago in Taranaki When driving down a decline the cab overturned, pinning one of the number under the vehicle. In their anxiety and excitement to release him, his companions pulled hire out by the legs, almost dislocating his neck. The injuries were so serious that they necessitated the man's removal to the local hospital. Now, if Chows will only persist in getting jammed under cabs, and having their necks dislocated the Chinese Question will soon settle itself. NZ Truth , Issue 129, 7 December 1907, Page 1
