Medical Book. Chow Wah v Chew Chong. The plaintiff claimed £30 for a Chinese medical book which he had lent to defendant, who had not returned it Mr Standiah for tho plaintiff, and Mr Samuel for the defendant. Evidence was given on both sides. Plaintiff claimed that the book was a valuable one, as it contained prescriptions, etc. The defendant admitted that he had lost the book, but contended that the value put on it was a ridiculous one. His Worship in giving judgment said that he could not assess the valuo of the book at such a figure, and he gave judgment for plaintiff for 5s and costs.
