LOCAL ARRANGEMENTS Very complete arrangements for the visit of the Chinese students' football team have been made by the Taranaki Football Association. The team will arrive in Hawera by the mail train this evening, and will be met by Messrs W. Adams, .T. E. Campbell," and. C. Cummings, who will accompany them to the Central Hotel, their headquarters during their slay. After dinner they will be the guests of the South Taranaki Club. At the Borough Council Chambers to-morrow (Tuesday) morning at 9.30 o'clock the team will be publicly welcomed to the town am] district by the Deputy-Mayor (Mr E. Mrrissey). It is hoped that there will be a large attendance of citizens at this function. A visit to the water tower, parks, etc., and a practice game will fill in the morning, and at 1 p.m. the team will be taken for a motor drive round the mountain. On Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning they will be free to do as tiie.y please until 2.45 p.m. on Wednesday, when, they meet the elect of Taranaki in tlje Hawera Show Grounds. After the match they will be the guests of the Taranaki Football Association at dinner at the Central Hotel, and later the guests of the Taranaki Chinese community at a social gathering at the Golden Minim.
